Quick answer

6.62%2025 dividend rate

Since February 2024, the Pag-IBIG contribution is 2% of your monthly salary, up to the Maximum Fund Salary of ₱10,000. So most employees pay ₱200 a month, and their employer adds ₱200, for ₱400 in total. If you earn less than ₱10,000, you and your employer each pay 2% of what you earned (your share is 1% if you earn ₱1,500 or less). OFWs pay ₱200 (matched by ₱200 if they have a Philippine employer, like seafarers), and self-employed members pay ₱400. You may always save more. Your contributions go to your Pag-IBIG Regular Savings, which earned a 6.62% dividend for 2025, tax-free.

From Pag-IBIG Fund's Regular Savings FAQs (effective February 2024) and the contribution rates in RA 9679, Section 7:

Self-employed₱400–₱400

Earning ₱1,500 or less? RA 9679, Section 7, sets the employee share at 1% for monthly compensation of ₱1,500 or less, and 2% above that. The employer always pays 2%.

Why ₱200? It's 2% of the Maximum Fund Salary (MFS), now ₱10,000 (2% × ₱10,000 = ₱200). Before February 2024, the contribution had been ₱100 from the member and ₱100 from the employer since 1986.

Already paying ₱200 or more? Pag-IBIG says that already meets the requirement. If you're employed, in the private or public sector, your employer must put in ₱200 a month for you.

What your contributions earn

Every contribution goes into your Pag-IBIG Regular Savings:

  • Annual dividends, credited automatically each year. Pag-IBIG's Charter requires it to return at least 70% of its annual net income as dividends to members' savings.
  • Government-guaranteed and tax-free.
  • You get it all back with dividends when your membership matures after 20 years, at retirement, or for other reasons Pag-IBIG allows.
  • Access to loans. Your savings are the basis of the Multi-Purpose Loan (up to 90% of your Regular Savings), and you need at least 24 monthly savings for a housing loan.
