30 September 2026 (TIN ID and National ID guides)

  • New TIN ID guide: checked against the BIR's Citizen's Charter (online TIN via ORUS for E.O. 98/ONETT and for new employees, and the TIN card), RMC 120-2023 (Digital TIN ID) and the eGovPH Digital TIN ID under RMC 34-2026.
  • New ePhilID and Digital National ID guide: checked against PSA/PhilSys press releases (printed and downloadable ePhilID, the Digital National ID in eGovPH) and PHLPost's PhilID tracking notice.
  • Linked both from the valid IDs and first-time job seeker guides.

29 September 2026 (NBI portal check)

  • Corrected Quick Renewal eligibility: the renewal banner on clearance.nbi.gov.ph says door-to-door renewal is for clearances issued October 16, 2016 onwards. Updated the renewal, pillar, validity and problems pages and the checklist tool. The portal's "2014 onwards" applies to registering an account using an old clearance.
  • NBI verification page rewritten: clearance.nbi.gov.ph lists "NBI Clearance Online Verification" (check authenticity and validity) among its eServices. Added how to check your own application status.

29 September 2026

  • Added free printable PDF checklists (NBI, police, job seeker documents) and a downloads page with direct links to official PDFs from the PNP, DOLE, DFA and the Senate library.
  • Added an oath of undertaking guide based on the official DOLE RA 11261 Form 2, plus Form 1 (Barangay Certification), DOLE Labor Advisory No. 07 s. 2020 (certified true copies) and the DOLE FTJAA contact details.

28 September 2026 (new documents section)

  • Added an Other Documents section with guides to the barangay clearance, the first-time job seeker certificate (RA 11261, Sections 4, 8 and 11 and its IRR), valid IDs (RA 11055, Section 12), DFA apostille (from the DFA Authentication Division's official FAQ and schedule of fees) and RTC/MTC/prosecutor clearances.

28 September 2026 (second update)

  • Added Tagalog summaries ("paano kumuha") to the NBI and police guides.
  • Added the NBI's official delivery helpdesk numbers to the renewal guide, what's printed on an NBI clearance, the police clearance application form fields, and new FAQs (barangay clearance for NBI, same-day release, foreign nationals, fastest way to get a police clearance).

28 September 2026 (update)

  • Added all 162 NBI clearance offices from the NBI's official Clearance Office Locator, with a searchable directory and pages for 21 provinces.
  • Added NBI eClearance on the eGovPH app (launched 6 July 2026 per the NBI's announcement) to the renewal guide.
  • Added the NBI's official Mailed Clearance process for Filipinos abroad: Form No. 5, rolled fingerprints, ₱200 total, up to 5 working days.
  • Added the official NBI and PNP helpdesk contacts and office hours, police clearance verification (last name + transaction number), and new guides for GCash payment, problems and fixes, NBI verification, and NPC vs local vs barangay clearance.

28 September 2026

  • Site launched. All guides were checked against nbi.gov.ph ("How to apply for NBI clearance") and the PNP's "How to apply for a National Police Clearance" guide on pnpclearance.ph.
  • NBI: fee ₱130 plus an e-payment charge of about ₱25–₱30. Two valid IDs. HIT return after 5–10 working days with no additional fee. 15-day grace period after payment. Quick Renewal for clearances issued after 2014 with no change in personal details.
  • Police: fee ₱150 plus a convenience fee that depends on the payment channel. One valid government-issued ID. Renewal without appearance within three years of the last appearance.

Once a month we compare every fee, requirement and step with the official NBI and PNP pages. If anything changes, we update the page, change its "checked" date and add an entry here.
