SSS Maternity Benefit Calculator

Choose your delivery month, your case and your monthly salary. The calculator follows the SSS's own computation and shows which months count.

Uses the SSS's official formula and assumes the same salary every month. Runs on your phone only; nothing is sent or saved.

How it calculates

  1. Semester of contingency: the two quarters ending in the quarter of your delivery month (quarters end in March, June, September and December).
  2. 12-month period: the 12 months just before that semester. Only contributions paid in this period, before the semester, count.
  3. Your salary becomes a monthly salary credit (MSC) using the SSS brackets. For benefits, the MSC counts only up to ₱20,000.
  4. Total MSC = your MSC × the number of months paid, up to your six highest months.
  5. Daily allowance (ADSC) = total MSC ÷ 180.
  6. Benefit = ADSC × 105 days (live birth), 120 days (solo parent) or 60 days (miscarriage, ETP or stillbirth).

It uses the same MSC for every month. If your salary changed, the SSS uses your six highest MSCs in the period, so your actual amount may differ. We checked the calculator against the SSS's official example (October 2021 birth, ₱16,000 MSC: ₱56,000). See the full rules in the SSS maternity benefit guide.

Frequently asked questions

What is the maximum SSS maternity benefit?

₱70,000 for a live birth, ₱80,000 for a qualified solo parent and ₱40,000 for miscarriage or ETP, because benefits use an MSC of up to ₱20,000.

Why does my delivery month matter?

It sets your semester of contingency and the 12-month period the SSS looks at. Contributions paid within or after the semester don't count.

I'm employed. Is this all I'll get?

Employed members get full pay: the SSS benefit plus a salary differential from the employer, unless the employer is exempt (for example, micro-businesses with assets of ₱3 million or less).

Does the calculator save my details?

No. It runs in your browser and nothing you enter is sent anywhere.
