Who can use Quick Renewal
The official portal, clearance.nbi.gov.ph, offers online renewal with door-to-door delivery for clearances issued October 16, 2016 onwards. You can skip the branch if both are true:
- Your previous NBI clearance was issued on or after 16 October 2016.
- No changes to your personal details (for example name, civil status or other details on the record).
If your name changed after marriage, or other details changed, you'll need to go through the regular process and a branch visit.
2014 or 2016? The renewal banner on clearance.nbi.gov.ph says "October 16, 2016 Onwards", so that's the rule we follow. nbi.gov.ph's how-to page mentions clearances "after 2014": that date matches the portal's option to register an account using an NBI clearance from 2014 onwards, not the delivery renewal. If your clearance is older, apply the regular way.
Option 1: renew on the eGovPH app (NBI eClearance)
On 6 July 2026, the NBI and the DICT launched NBI eClearance on the eGovPH Super App. According to the NBI's announcement, verified eGovPH users can renew their NBI clearance in the app, retrieve it and access a digital copy, in as little as five minutes.
Install the eGovPH app
from Google Play or the App Store.
Verify your eGovPH account
Only verified users can use NBI eClearance.
Open the NBI service
in the app and choose renewal.
Follow the in-app steps and pay
The app shows the details and fees.
Get your digital copy
Retrieve the renewed clearance in the app.
The eGovPH service is for renewals. First-time applicants still need to visit an NBI office for biometrics. If the office asking for your clearance needs a printed copy, check that they accept the digital one first.
Option 2: Quick Renewal on clearance.nbi.gov.ph
Log in at clearance.nbi.gov.ph
Use your existing account if you have one.
Choose the online renewal option
Look for the renewal button on the portal's home page.
Enter your old NBI clearance details
Keep your previous clearance at hand: you'll need the ID number printed on it.
Confirm your details and delivery address
Check your name and birth date carefully.
Pay
The fee plus the delivery charge shown at checkout.
Wait for delivery
Your renewed clearance is delivered to the address you gave.
Find your old clearance first. The details printed on it are what the portal uses to find your record. Without it, renewal is much harder.
Tracking your delivery
If you chose home delivery, contact the NBI's official delivery lines (from nbi.gov.ph) for updates:
- Clearance delivery: +63 949 631 0713 · +63 920 412 9999
- Delivery helpdesk: +63 961 731 9404 · +63 960 891 5222 · +63 960 828 7044
Have your application details ready when you call. Never share your one-time password (OTP) with anyone who calls or messages you.
Lost your old clearance?
Log in to your account on clearance.nbi.gov.ph: your previous application may still be on record there. If you can't find your old details, apply as a regular applicant and visit a branch with two valid IDs.
Option 3: visit a branch (when you must)
- Your last clearance was issued before 16 October 2016.
- Your personal details changed (for example your surname after marriage).
- The portal can't match your old record.
In these cases, apply like a first-time applicant: book a branch, pay and bring two valid IDs.
Frequently asked questions
How long is a renewed NBI clearance valid?
The same as a new one. See NBI clearance validity.
Can I renew if my clearance already expired?
Yes. Expiry doesn't stop you renewing. What matters for Quick Renewal is that your last clearance was issued from 16 October 2016 onward and your details haven't changed.
How much does renewal cost?
The regular fee plus the e-payment charge, and a courier fee if you choose delivery. The portal shows the total before you pay.
