2.5% / 2.5%Employee / employer
Dec 31Self-paying deadline (Jan 31 grace)

In 2026, the PhilHealth premium is 5% of your monthly basic salary or income, computed on a ₱10,000 floor and a ₱100,000 ceiling, so it runs from ₱500 to ₱5,000 a month. Employees split it equally with their employer (2.5% each). Self-earning members, professionals and land-based OFWs pay the full 5% themselves. This is the final step of the Universal Health Care Act schedule (PhilHealth Circular 2020-0005), and no higher rate has been issued for 2026.

5% of your monthly basic salary or income, with a ₱10,000 floor and ₱100,000 ceiling (PhilHealth Circular 2020-0005, the final step of the UHC Act schedule, still in force in 2026). Self-paying members: the amount on your Statement of Premium Account (SPA) is the official figure. Runs on your phone only; nothing is sent or saved.

The 2026 rate: 5%, ₱10,000 floor, ₱100,000 ceiling

The Universal Health Care (UHC) Act raised the PhilHealth premium step by step from 2019. PhilHealth Circular 2020-0005 sets the schedule, and its final step, for 2024 to 2025, is:

Monthly basic salaryPremium rateMonthly premium

Is there a new rate for 2026? No. That 5% step was the last increase in the law's schedule, and PhilHealth has not issued a higher one. The Philippine Information Agency reported on 19 February 2026 that PhilHealth's regional office said premiums would not increase in 2026. (PhilHealth's own "Premium Contribution Table" page still shows the old 2019 to 2020 rates, so go by the circular.)

How the floor and ceiling work. If your basic salary is below ₱10,000, the premium is computed as if you earned ₱10,000. If it's above ₱100,000, it's computed on ₱100,000. In between, it's simply 5% of your salary.

Example: a ₱25,000 monthly basic salary → 5% = ₱1,250 total → employee ₱625, employer ₱625.

"Monthly basic salary" means basic pay only. Circular 2020-0005 excludes overtime, allowances, commissions, 13th-month pay and bonuses, and deductions for absences or tardiness.
