Finish your application on clearance.nbi.gov.ph, choose your branch and schedule, then pick GCash as the payment channel. Pay the amount shown (the ₱130 fee plus the e-payment charge) in your GCash app and keep the receipt. Once your status turns PAID, you have 15 days to visit the branch.

Step by step

  1. Complete your application first

Log in at clearance.nbi.gov.ph, fill in the applicant form, choose your ID type, branch and schedule.

  2. Choose GCash as the payment method

The portal shows the total, including the e-payment service charge.

  3. Follow the payment instructions

The portal gives you the details you need to pay in GCash. Enter them exactly as shown.

  4. Pay in the GCash app

Confirm the amount before you tap Pay.

  5. Save your receipt

Screenshot the GCash confirmation, including the reference number.

  6. Check your status

Log back in to clearance.nbi.gov.ph and check that your application shows PAID.

Make sure you have enough balance first, including the e-payment charge. A failed or partial payment is the most common reason people have to start over.

Other payment channels

The NBI lists these channels, so if GCash isn't working you can switch:

  • Maya
  • 7-Eleven
  • Bayad Center
  • Online banking

If your payment doesn't show as PAID

  1. Wait before paying again. Some channels take time to post, and paying twice doesn't speed it up.
  2. Check the GCash transaction history to confirm the payment actually went through.
  3. Contact the NBI with your receipt if it still doesn't update: clearance inquiries (02) 8524-1277 or clearance@nbi.gov.ph.
