Get a PSA marriage certificate at a PSA CRS outlet with a free online appointment and a valid ID for ₱155 per copy, or order it through PSAHelpline.ph (the PSA's authorized online partner) for ₱365 delivered. Either spouse, the parents of either spouse, or the couple's children aged 18+ can order online; anyone else goes to a PSA outlet with an authorization letter. For a new marriage, wait 2–4 months (Metro Manila) or at least 6 months (provinces) for the record to reach the PSA. Until then, get a certified copy from the local civil registrar where you were married.

What is a PSA marriage certificate?

It's the copy of your marriage record printed by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) on its security paper. It shows the couple's names, the date and place of marriage and the witnesses. After the wedding, the signed Certificate of Marriage is registered at the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) of the place where you married, and the LCRO sends it to the PSA.

LCR copy vs PSA copy: both have the same details, but most government offices and private companies want the PSA copy. Use the LCR copy only while the PSA copy isn't available yet.

You'll usually need it to:

  • update your civil status with SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG
  • renew a passport in your married name (the DFA may ask for it)
  • claim life insurance or pension benefits as a spouse
  • register your child's birth, open joint accounts, or apply for spouse visas

Either spouseYesYes
Parents of either spouseYesYes
The couple's children, 18+YesYes
Anyone else (siblings, relatives, lawyers, agents)NoYes, with an authorization letter or SPA from a qualified person, plus IDs

At an outlet, a representative can request for at most 2 unrelated people and can't pass the authority to someone else.

How to get it at a PSA outlet

  1. Book a free appointment

on the PSA CRS Appointment System: choose the purpose and outlet, enter your name, email and mobile number, verify the one-time PIN, then choose the marriage certificate, date and time.

  2. Arrive at least 30 minutes early

with the appointment slip (printed or on your phone) and a valid ID.

  3. Fill in the application form

    and get a queue ticket.

  4. Pay ₱155 per copy

at the window and keep the official receipt.

  5. Claim it

on the release date. PSAHelpline says walk-in requests can be released the same day if everything is in order and the record has no issues.

No appointment, no entry. Booking is free, so don't pay Facebook "appointment assistance" sellers.

How to order it online

  1. Go to psahelpline.ph, click Order Now and choose Marriage

  2. Enter both spouses' full names

and the date and place of marriage exactly as registered.

  3. Enter your own details as the requester

and the ID you'll show the courier.

  4. Choose the purpose, delivery address and number of copies,

then pay. Keep the 10-digit reference number.

  5. Track it

    at orders.psahelpline.ph/check-status.

Delivery: Metro Manila the next working day after the PSA releases it; provinces 3–8 working days.

Receiving it: your legal spouse can receive your order for you. For a parent's or child's marriage certificate, assign a representative through the online Letter of Authorization after paying.

Just married? When will it be at the PSA?

The PSA needs time to receive, check and digitize new records. PSAHelpline recommends waiting:

  • 2–4 months for marriages in Metro Manila
  • at least 6 months for marriages in the provinces

counted from when the LCRO sent the record. Order too early and you may get a negative certification (no record found). If you need proof sooner, ask the civil registry office of the city or town where you married for a certified copy.

Errors and problems

  • Typo or wrong entry: file a petition for correction of entries at the LCRO where the marriage was registered. The civil registrar charges a filing fee.
  • Negative certification: the record isn't in the PSA's archives yet. Check with the LCRO where you married, which can endorse the record to the PSA.
  • Need it abroad? A foreign registry may need an apostille. PSA documents for Apostille countries now get an e-Apostille. See the DFA apostille guide.

Getting married soon instead? You'll need a CENOMAR and a PSA birth certificate for the marriage license.

Frequently asked questions

How much is a PSA marriage certificate?

₱155 per copy at a PSA outlet with an appointment, or ₱365 online through PSAHelpline.ph including delivery.

How long after the wedding can I get a PSA marriage certificate?

About 2 to 4 months for weddings in Metro Manila and at least 6 months for weddings in the provinces, counted from when the local civil registrar sent the record to the PSA.

How do I check if my marriage certificate is already available at the PSA?

Wait for the posting period above before ordering. If you order too early, you'll receive a negative certification, which means the record hasn't reached the PSA yet. The civil registrar where you married can tell you when it was sent.

Who can request a PSA marriage certificate online?

Either spouse, the parents of either spouse, or the couple's children aged 18 and over. Anyone else must go to a PSA outlet with an authorization letter or SPA.

Is the LCR marriage certificate the same as the PSA copy?

Same details, but most offices want the PSA copy on security paper. Use the LCR certified copy only until the PSA copy is available.

Do I need my marriage certificate to renew my passport?

If you're changing to your married name, the DFA may ask for it. Make sure it's the PSA copy and that the details are correct.

How do I correct an error on my PSA marriage certificate?

File a petition for correction of entries at the local civil registry office where the marriage was registered. A filing fee applies.
